RP and Collaboration

I've been drawing and making OCs since I was a wee lad and this creative process is intrinsic to my daily life. I have a lot of experience with RP, character creation, world building, and writing, including 4 consecutive years of tabletop RPG DMing.I specialize in believable, complex, and grounded characters who maintain strong ethnic and cultural inspiration. Most of my main characters these days are Asian in some form, but my whole scope is expansive. My goals with my creative endeavors are to forge realistic but investing narratives that help guide our societies forward towards a more inclusive and diverse world. Challenging bias, subverting certain expectations, creating appreciation and depth for people of color, and forging new ways to love and see the world are core values that are always present in my current creative endeavors. Whether it is a private 1 on 1 RP or a project, I am consistent on the kind of narrative and impact I want to create.

PROFILE

Characters:

Asian societies, strongest knowledge in Japan, both feudal and modern, with some knowledge in Chinese culture, history, and Wuxia/Xianxia genres. I have dabbled in learning knowledge of India, SE Asia, and Korea, but I consider that enthusiasm rather than expertise. I love to explore in depth, and expand on dark and serious topics. I have little issues in this category, and enjoy scenarios and topics that bring discomfort. I communicate when I am not interested, and I treat these topics with care and responsibility of the real life impact. If you have boundaries, I will not cross them knowingly. Please state what they are, and if or when they are being crossed.
The scenarios will remain fictional, and will never be any indication of our real relationship dynamic.Writing Style:
I am flexible and can adapt to various types of writing as long as there is a clear expectation of frequency and response. I am privy to long responses and grand stories, but I can be short and casual too. I am not strict, am fine with skipping around, fine with bringing up random ideas/scenarios, and discussing development rather than RP all the time. I try to aim for mutual interest and motivation, and am willing to make changes in pace and topics to maintain this.

STANDARDS + BOUNDARIES

I will not RP 1 on 1 with anyone aged under 20. I am only open to NSFW to people this age or older. I am fine interacting casually (SFW only) in larger more public groups with people of various ages, such as DnD/Tabletop RPG, and multi person projects.

Things I will not tolerate, and expect me to speak up on:- Racism/Colorism/Orientalism/Anti-blackness
- Victimization/defensive behavior of whiteness and white features
- Misogyny, including transmisogyny
- Homophobia/Transphobia, etc.
- Body shaming, including height + fatphobia
- Ageism/Ableism
- Conventionally attractive = good, important
- Ugly = bad, expendable
- Conformity or romanticizing eurocentric and colonial ideals
- Misuse of disability and mental illness
- Misuse of Japanese terminology (my area of expertise)(Please note that some of these standards can vary on occasion depending on individual and context. I highly do enjoy and encourage these topics to be discussed intellectually. It is the ignorant, defensively ignorant, or willing continuance of these themes without intention of critique that I dislike.)

Note: I do not care how bad the person is, I will not body shame, misgender, be ableist, or resort to ageism to make fun of them. I prefer to stay focused on the genuine problems.

Examples of Colorism:

  • Light/Whiter features being seen as more attractive or important than darker/non-white features

  • Lighter features, including hair, eyes, and facial structure being deliberately associated to good, pure, intelligent, refined, or heavenly roles. This includes states of transcendence, or higher states of being having associations to a lesser melanin content.

  • Darker features, including hair, eyes, and facial structure (noses included,) being associated with evil, distrust, promiscuity, violence, or stupidity. This includes evil transformations and corruption that make a character darker in natrual skin, hair, and eye color.

  • Light and dark, good and bad have universal themes and applications. I draw the line at assigning race and melanin content to these themes in the above ways.

  • No important characters of color able to maintain their racially accurate melanin content in design. (dark eyes, dark skin, dark hair, etc.) Preferably, have a main character of color who keeps all their dark features before implementing one who has white/blonde hair, or blue/pale eyes. ESPECIALLY if white/pale characters can have light skin, light eyes, and light hair without question.

  • Fairer skin and white features (big eyes, slim noses, slim faces, slim bodies) being associated to female/femininity

  • Darker skin and non-white traits (including but not limited to, large noses, square or round face shapes, larger body types, smaller eyes, non-white hairstyle/texture) being associated with male/masculinity.

  • Concerning trends in assigning certain toxic dynamics, and dom/sub roles to white/pale and dark/non-white characters whether in OCs, or fandom shipping. Overtly applying aggression and dominance, or submissiveness and victimhood to either of these characters in a mixed white/pale + non-white/dark dynamic can tap into racism or mirroring slavery depiction and colonization.

Examples of Misogyny (and some gender essentialism)

  • Most typical misogyny examples I shouldn't have to explain, but I will list other ways it manifests that may go unnoticed still.

  • The women die more than the men, or more specifically, they always die as backstory/development for men. (Dead mom, dead wife, etc.) Switch it up sometimes.

  • Associating feminine roles and labels, such as wife, girl, mom, and woman to submissiveness, sexual receptiveness, objectification, weakness, inadequacy, frivolity, and stupidity. (This includes calling men these labels too for these reasons)

  • If you call men these feminine labels, ask yourself if it's because of his gender identity, or whether it's one of the reasons listed above. Fathers, husbands, and men in general can have these traits without needing to call him a woman for them. (I don't critique the term "malewife" as it's kinda its own word at this point.)

  • Usage of "Top" and "Bottom" being synonymous with "Dominant" and "Submissive"

  • The usage of terms such as "Femboy" or "Trap" without understanding the negative connotations and impact these terms have for transfeminine people

  • The entire concept of "evil/creep/deceiving men" in women's clothes or makeup. (Men pretending to be women for ill or deceptive reasons.) This theme is used to fearmonger transfeminine people almost exclusively.

  • Talking neutrally or god forbid positively about Harry Potter. No trans ally and feminist will perpetuate HP outside of awareness of the violence and hatred JK Rowling spreads with her IP.

Misuse of Japanese Terms

  • YAOI: Yaoi being used to describe all MLM or Gay pairings. Yaoi is a specific genre that arose from sexual and media feminist movements in Japan, and is not intended to represent gay men or homosexuality in general. The genre also is known to not depict realistic men, gay men, and usually avoids anyone that is old, or fat. Avoid calling m/m pairings with minors "Yaoi" without thought. Yaoi is exclusively a sexually explicit genre. Calling two young boys in love "Yaoi" is basically shotacon/child porn. Use terms such as "Boys Love/Shounen Ai" or BL to describe the MLM romance genre. (Danmei being the Chinese equivalent of BL.) Use MLM and Gay to describe male pairings. That said, I don't mind the term yaoi if applied correctly to the right genre.

  • BARA: The term "Bara" can be a bit of a toss up in usage for the unaware. It literally means "Rose" and was derived from the first commercial gay magazine in Japan, Barazoku. Calling a Japanese gay man or a gay mangaka's work "Bara" can be akin to calling them a fairy or pansy. Many gay Japanese mangaka are fine, and even enamored with its overseas takeoff, but still probably want you to know that. Expand your terminology with "Gay/Gei Manga", "Gei Komi", and "Men's Love" to describe this genre. (And boy do I love this genre.)

  • I do not consider Yaoi to be the gay equivalent of Yuri, it is not made to be such. Bara is the true and more accurate counterpart to Yuri, as the term "Yuri" is derived from "Lily Tribe," a term to describe the lesbian community by the founder of Barazoku, Bungaku Ito. All in all, I believe Yuri/Bara describe their lesbian/gay counterparts best. Lily and Rose tribes forever united in a garden of queer love.

  • FUTANARI: Literally means "dual form" and a way to describe androgyny and is used to mean hermaphrodite. Because of this, avoid throwing the term around, hermaphrodite when used on a person is an intersexist slur. Modern usage of the term is... very different than it used to be. I really would prefer if people called this type of porn something else at this point... like dual sex, or dualgen. (Refer to the Intersex community on this issue.)

  • NINJA: Ninja I would prefer to be used exclusively to refer to Japanese assassins, much like how we won't call Knights "Samurai." I wouldn't call assassins of another culture/language "Ninja," they have their own terms for that, and maybe we should learn them.

Overview

Casey (he/him) is a selective mute, 17 year old trans guy working on finding little ways to pursue a purpose and reason to live after dealing with loss, trust issues, and a broken family.Often seen as quiet, cold, and distant due to his muteness and his overall demeanor, Casey in truth is much more expressive and passionate than what others assume. Turning his pain and his emotional struggles into forms of art, Casey somehow manages to speak to and inspire the people who get a chance to see it.His birthday is on January 31st

Casey is a character that I have had for 4+ years that I hold very close to my heart, and is very special to me. He is an OC that I have shared with important people in my life, and still do.
I can say 69420 things about him and about his story that can't fit here but maybe one day I will find a way to put it all together in a bow <3

  • His muteness developed due to having trouble socializing in school after moving

  • His parents are divorced

  • Lashes out physically when pushed too far. This is due to his inability to express himself verbally

  • Is a dancer and a pianist. He mostly creates music electronically

  • Is a seasonal snowboarder

  • An essential member of his band. He plays keyboard and helps create the off-vocals

  • Sonic the Hedgehog made him trans i dont make the rules

  • Has a BF named "Snap" whom Casey loves more than anything. Their relationship although wholesome, lacks resolve

  • "prince" is a common flattering title given to him by Snap

  • Has so much to say, but encounters every difficulty in expressing it

  • Most of his feelings are expressed in his music and dance, but the communication is never direct

  • Attempted suicide survivor

  • Is often juggled between his two parents a couple times a year

  • Has kept Snap's snapback hat the entire time when they weren't friends anymore
